Parangal at Pasasalamat sa mga Bayaning Atleta

Honoring the Medalists of the 33rd Southeast Asian Games

Last January 21, our national wrestling athletes were formally honored by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. during the “Parangal at Pasasalamat sa mga Bayaning Atleta” Homecoming Celebration, a national event recognizing the outstanding Filipino medalists of the 33rd Southeast Asian Games.

The ceremony served as a powerful tribute to the dedication, discipline, and perseverance of our athletes who proudly represented the Philippines on the regional stage. Their achievements reflect not only personal excellence, but also the continued growth and competitiveness of Philippine wrestling in international competition.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to our SEA Games Wrestling Medalists who were recognized during the celebration:

🥈 Ronil Tubog
🥉 Jason Baucas
🥉 Rea Cervantes
🥉 Callum Roberts

Also recognized for their SEA Games achievements (not present in the official photo):

This national recognition is a testament to the athletes’ years of hard work, the commitment of their coaches and support staff, and the collective effort of the Philippine wrestling community. Being honored by the President of the Republic underscores the vital role that athletes play in inspiring national pride and unity.

The Wrestling Association of the Philippines remains committed to developing world-class athletes, strengthening grassroots programs, and supporting our national team as they continue to raise the Philippine flag in international competitions.

Once again, congratulations to our Bayaning Atleta. Your victories inspire the next generation of Filipino wrestlers and remind us all what excellence, sacrifice, and patriotism truly mean.
