GUANGZHOU, CHINA — Filipino youth wrestling standout Yani Lopez continues to make waves on the international stage after being recognized during the OCA-UWW Asian Wrestling Youth Camp & Course for Coaches held in Guangzhou, China.
Lopez, one of the Philippines’ brightest young wrestling prospects, was featured by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) for her remarkable performances and determination during the camp. Her explosive wrestling style, relentless work ethic, and competitive spirit earned her the nickname “Filipino Fireball,” highlighting the impression she made on coaches and fellow athletes from across Asia.

The OCA-UWW Asian Wrestling Youth Camp brought together some of the continent’s most promising young wrestlers alongside coaches for an intensive program focused on technical development, international friendship, and the promotion of Olympic values.
